Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable constantly the satisfactory burning of city refuses by controlling the transfer speed of materials to be burnt on the basis of the value obtained by measuring the temperature of exhaust gas, in the incinerator in which materials to be burnt supplied to a grate are transferred successively to a drying zone, a burning zone and an after-burning zone. CONSTITUTION:The incinerator for city refuses is provided with a supply device for supplying materials to be burnt onto the grate 8, and transfer devices 11a-11c for successively transferring the materials to be burnt on the grate 8 successively to the drying zone A, the burning zone B and the after burning zone C. Thereafter, a detector 23 for detecting the in-furnace temperature in the vicinity of the border of the burning zones B and C, is provided at the side wall or the like of the after burning zone C. On the basis of information from the detector 23, the supply device 7 and the transfer devices 11a-11c are controlled through a controller 24. In the case where the measured value of the detector 23 is lower than the set range when a set time has passed after the increase in the set temperature, the transfer speed is lowered and the temperature is increased to control respective devices 7, 11a-11c.
