Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a fluidized bed incinerator for dried sludge in excellent response and economically by a method wherein the variation of the temperature of the incinerator is detected, and the sensible heat of a hot wind for incineration is changed in response to the variation of the temperature of the incinerator, in a device which incinerates the dried sludge by means of the incinerator. CONSTITUTION:Sludge is incinerated in such a manner that the dehydrated cake 7 of sludge is supplied to a sludge drier 8, retention time in the drier is controlled by means of a motor 9 and the cake is dried according to a fixed method and dried cake is introduced into a fluidized bed incinerator 2. In this case, an air preheater 18 preheating air for combustion from a blower 17 for combustion is mounted into a course of combustion exhaust gas 21, and air for combustion heated at the preheater 18 is supplied to the incinerator 2 through ducts 19, 20. A bypath duct 23 bypassing the air preheater 18 is installed, a bypath air regulating valve 22 disposed into the duct 23 is controlled by the output of a temperature regulator 3 detecting the temperature of the incinerator 2 and the temperature of the incinerator is controlled.
