Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely seal the liquid crystal injection port and decrease leak defect at the time of injecting and sealing the liquid crystal into a liquid crystal display plate, by beforehand forming a metal film around the injecting port and performing resin sealing by high frequency induction heat treatment after injecting the liquid crystal.
CONSTITUTION: In a sealing method of a liquid crystal display plate by sticking two sheets of glass substrates 1, 2 by means of frame-shaped glass frit 3 by providing a fixed clearance and sealing a liquid crystal injection port 4 after injecting the liquid crystal into the spacing therebetween, a metal film 5 is beforehand formed around the liquid crystal injecting port 4. Thence, only the metal film 5 is heated by high frequency induction heat treatment with an induction coil 6 after the injecting of the liquid crystal, so that the liquid crystal adhered on the metal film 5 is allowed to evaporate away. Next, a resin such as epoxy or silicone resin is coated on the liquid crystal injecting port 4 and is then set to seal the port 4. Since no liquid crystals are stuck at all on the metal film 5, the firm bonding may be performed surely.
