Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the water proofness and liquid leak resistance of a nonaqueous electrolyte cell by providing a polyamide resin as a sealant to an insulating packing. CONSTITUTION:The cell container 6 is housed with the positive electrode substance 4 composed primarily of manganese dioxide or the like, the separator 5 holding a nonaqueous electrolyte, and the negative electrode substance lithium 4 and then enclosed by the negatice electrode cover 1 through the insulating packing 7 of polypropylene or the like, to form a nonaqueous electrolyte cell. The surface of the insulating packing 7 of such a cell is provided with the sealant layer 8 of polyamide resin, e.g., a thermoplastic resin having a molecular weight of approx. 4,000-20,000, preferably.
