Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to readily manufacture the contrivance equipped with perfect liquid-tight structure in such a way that rate of lead is saved by making strap parts of connecting part between cells rectilinearly. CONSTITUTION:Notched parts are formed at bulkheads 2 in a battery jar 1, adjacent cell poles 11 are connected through these notched parts by connecting materials 10 between cells. These connecting materials 10 are formed by positive pole strap part 6, negative pole strap part 7, connecting conductor 9 between cells having connecting part 8 between cells which penetrate through bulkhead piece 5, which are rectilinearly connected. In case of connecting between these cells, the strap parts 6, 7 of the connecting material 11 between the cells and polar plates of poles 4 are respectively connected to form collective poles which are housed in the battery jar 1 so as to engage said bulkhead piece 5 to the notched part. Then, liquid tightness is obtained by filling up thermoplastic resin sealant 15 into the clearance 14 between the bulkhead piece 5 and notched part of the bulkhead 2.
