PURPOSE:To scheme to obtain vibration-proofness and impact-proofness and to improve reliability by arranging a hangind-down wall on the inner surface of the cover of a battery jar and fixing a connecting element between battery plates by means of the hanging-down wall. CONSTITUTION:In a battery mother jar 1 made of synthetic resin and having a mother jar partition 3, cell elements 4 having separators laminated between anode and cathode plates are stored, and the cells contiguous on the upper part of the mother jar partitions 3 are connected by inter-cell connecting conductors 6, and the cover 2 of the battery jar and the mother jar 1 are heat-softened and fixedly contacted, thus an accumulator is formed. A hangind-down wall 8 is arranged on the cover 2 of the battery jar of this accumulator, and the side wall 12 of the hangind- down wall 8 is softened at the same time with the heat-softening of the cover 2 of the battery jar and the mother jar 1, and the side wall 12 is fixed so as to be contacted under pressure with the head part 15' of the inter-cell connecting conductor 6. The connection part fixedly contacted under pressure with the hanging-down wall 8 described above is not always inter-cell connecting conductor 6, and may be fixed by a strap 5.
