Abstract
An intercell connector comprises a yoke part (1) extending through an opening (6) of a cell partition (7), depending terminal parts (2) and terminal bridges (3) for connection to the plate assemblies. Each terminal part (2) has one or more peripheral grooves (4). The connector is sealed to the partition (7) by injection-moulding of a synthetic resin (10) which completely encloses the grooves (4) and surrounds the greater parts of the terminal parts (2) and the entire yoke part (1). In another construction the grooves (4) are replaced by ridges extending beyond the surface of the terminal parts (2). The grooves (4) or ridges serve to increase the length of the electrolyte leakage path between adjacent cells and improve the locking action of the synthetic resin (10) between the connector and the partition (7). <IMAGE>
