Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the erosion of the water supply valve of the drum by a method in which when the opening of a water supply valve is lowered to an opening degree enough to cause the erosion, a regulating valve is fully closed, and also the regulating valve is opened by increasing deviation from a set water level. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic unit 12 watches the opening degree of the water supply valve and sends a signal to a relay circuit to open the always-closed contact (a) when a low-opening degree enough to nullify a means of preventing erosion in the regulating valve 14 is reached, interrups operation output from a regulator 13 to the regulating valve 14, and fully close the regulating valve 14 to stop the supply of water to the drum 4. When the deviation between the water level of the drum 4 and a set water level is increased sufficiently, the arithmetic unit 12 sends a signal to the circuit 15, and then the always-opened contact (b) is closed, an operational signal is sent from the regulator 13 to the regulating valve 14, and a water level regulating operation is restarted. At this time, since, at the regulator 13, the deviation of the present water level from the set water level is sufficiently large, the regulating valve 14 is largely opened, thus preventing a means of preventing erosion of the valve from nullification.
