Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the trouble that a flow control valve is opened at the time when some fault is caused with an electric power source, air source, etc. in a condensate-flow controlling system, by employing an arrangement capable of forcing a condensate minimum-flow control valve to close fully during high-load operation of a nuclear power plant or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve 30 is excited by a control signal 32 given from a feed water flow monitoring switch 29 and feeds air 33 to an actuator 23c of a condensate minimum-flow control valve 23 for fully closing the valve 23 by cancelling operation of a control signal 27 given from a condensate minimum- flow regulator 25. Therefore, during high-load operation of the plant, the control valve 23 is forced to close fully through combined operation of a feed water flow transmitter 22, switch 29 and solenoid valve 30. Resultantly, if some trouble is caused with either of a condensate flow transmitter 21, regulator 25 or a positioner 23b of the control valve 23, the control valve 23 can be fully closed, so that condensate is not passed through the condensate recirculating system.
