Abstract

PURPOSE: To preclude a cool air from flowing into a turbine by a method wherein a follow-up signal produced from an output of the steam turbine and an inlet steam pressure is operated only when a pressure fluctuation is large and thereby a steam regulating valve is choked, in the steam turbine operated under a pressure changing operation.
CONSTITUTION: An opening of a steam regulating valve is determined by an inlet steam pressure detector 28 for a steam turbine 4 and a pressure detector 30 for the first stage of the steam turbine. Said opening compares a signal of a load limitter 15 in an adder 34 through an adder 43. When a fluctuation in the inlet steam pressure is large, a relay circuit 42 is actuated to close a contact 42A and a new load limitting signal, i.e. an output signal of the adder 43, throttles the steam regulating valve 3 through a low value preference circuit 44. Thereby, the variation of the inlet pressure of the steam turbine is restricted and inflow of a cool air into the steam turbine can be prevented.
