Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric material of good properties, by making the material of a binary substance shown as PbTiO3-Pb(Me1/2Mn1/2)O3 where Me denotes Nb, Ta or the like and by substituting a portion of the Pb of the substance with Sr and adding a small quantity of WO3, NiO or the like to the substance. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric oxide material is made of a basic binary substance shown as (1-x)PbTiO3-xPb(Me1/2Mn1/2)O3 where Me denotes one of Ta and Nb and (x) is limited within a range 0.01-0.15. 1.0-20atom% of the Pb of the substance is substituted with Sr. 0.05-2.0wt% of at least one of WO3, NiO and Fe2O3 is added as an accessory constituent to the substance. As a result, the Curie point of the material is heightened, the material can also serve at a high temperature of 300 deg.C or more and is made appropriate to be used in a high-frequency region of several MNz or more and the polarization of the material is facilitated.
