Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric material of good properties, by making the material of a binary substance shown as PbTiO3-Pb(Me1/3Nb2/3)O3 where Me denotes Mg, Zn or the like and by substituting a portion of the Pb of the substance with Sr and adding a small quantity of MnO, NiO, Fe2O3 or the like as an accessory constituent. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric oxide material is made of a basic binary substance shown as (1-x)PbTiO3-xPb(Me1/2Nb2/3)O3 where me denotes at least one of Zn and Mg and (x) is limited within a range from 0.01-0.15. 1.20-20atom% of the Pb of the substance is substituted with Sr. 0.05-2.0wt% of at least one of MnO, NiO and Fe2O3 is added as an accessory constituent to the substance. As a result, the Curie point of the material is heightened, the material can also serve at a high temperature of 300 deg.C or more and is made appropriate to be used in a high-frequency region of several MHz or more and the polarization of the material is facilitated.
