Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric material of good properties, by substituting a portion of the Pb of a binary substance, which is represented as PbTiO3-Pb (Me1/2Nb1/2)O3 where Me denotes In, Fe, Sb or the like with Sr and adding a small quantity of MnO, NiO, CoO3 or the like to the substance. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric oxide material is made of a basic binary substance represented as (1-x)PbTiO3-xPb(Me1/2Nb1/2)O3 where Me denotes one of In, Fe and Sb and (x) is limited within a range from 0.01-0.15. 1.0-20atom% of the Sb of the substance is substituted with Sr. 0.05-2.0wt% of at least one of MnO, NiO and CoO3 is added to the substance. As a result, the Curie point of the material is heightened, the material can also serve at a high temperature of 300 deg.C or more and is made appropriate to be used in a high-frequency region of several MHz or more and the polarization of the material is facilitated.
