Abstract

PURPOSE: To discriminate mixed gas instantaneously, by leading sample gas mixed with gas such as methane to one hydrocarbon concentration measuring unit through the branching system path after removal of hydrocarbon except methane and by leading the same sample gas to the other hydrocarbon concentration measuring unit through the same path directly and by making path length after branching equal to each other and by comparing both measured values.
CONSTITUTION: Sample gas is sucked from sampling probe 5 by pump 8 and is divided to conduits 9 and 10. After hydrocarbon except methane is removed by nonmethane removing means 11 provided in conduit 9, hydrocarbon components are measured by hydrogen flame ionization gas detector 12. On the other hand, conduit 10 is provided with similar empty cylinder 14 halfway for the purpose of extending the path by a length of the flow path of nonmethane removing means 11, and hydrocarbon components are measured by hydrogen flame ionization gas detector 13. Then, both measured values are compared with each other by operating means 15 to operate the component value of sample gas, and the operation result is displayed on display equipment 16.
