Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable continuous measurement for traces of NH3 concentration in air with good accuracy and to simplify the construction, not subject to the effect of coexisting gas, by using specific two paths and alternately feeding NO contained gas different in concentration to NO measurement unit.
CONSTITUTION: The measuring gas flowing to one flow path providing the heat set 14 via the sampling unit 1 passes through the NO2 converter 2 and the NO2 contained is reduced to NO. Further, the gas from the demoisture and dust removal unit 5 is fed to the NO measuring unit 9 via the change-over valve 15 by the pump 7 and total No is displayed on the display unit 11. Further, the valve 15 is selected as shown in Figure, the pump 8 is operated and NH3 is oxidized to NO while the measuring gas flowing to other path passes through NH3 oxidizer 3. The total amount of NO2 partly oxidized and NO2 contained from the first is NO through the NO2 converter 4, NH3 and NO total amount are displayed on the display unit 11 via the unit 6, and the difference of NO measurement at the both paths is NH3 concentration.
