Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to continuously measure a fine quantity of a sample and to perform the highly accurate measurement of an electrode detection by inhaling a diluted sample through an inhaling tube so that it may flow through a metering chamber under the condition of being held between base liquids.
CONSTITUTION: When a suction nozzle 9 is inserted into a base liquid 14, this liquid 14 flow through a measuring chamber 17 and is discharged to the outside of the system from a conduit 27 if a pump 18 is operated. After the pump 18 is interrupted in response to the signals from a controller 39, the nozzle 9 is inserted into a rotary mixing bath 13 by means of a nozzle shifter 11. When the pump 18 is operated again, the dilution between the sample 12, which has been mixed in the bath 13 by the previous operation, and a diluting liquid 14 flows through the measuring chamber following the base liquid 14, whereupon the detected signals are recorded in a recorder 12. Thus, it is possible to perform continuously the highly accurate measurements of a fine quantity of the sample.
