Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely remove the magnetic particles stuck undesirably on a photoreceptor by disposing a hollow member consisting of a ferromagnetic material in opposition to the surface of the photoreceptor, and providing a permanent magnet freely turnably therein. CONSTITUTION:A hollow member 14 consisting of a ferromagnetic material is disposed freely rotatably in proximity to the surface of a photosensitive drum 1, and a permanent magnet 15 is provided rotatably therein. A prescribed recovery device is provided below the member 14. If with this constitution the magnet 15 is placed in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the centerline of the member 14, carriers 9 are attracted to the member 14 by the magnetic flux turning large. Thence, if the member 14 and the magnet 15 are both rotated 90 deg., the magnetic flux turns small, and the attracted carriers 9 drop and are recovered. Thereby, the magnetic particles stuck undesirably on the drum 1 are surely removed with the simple constitution.
