Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively recover the toner by providing a static nonmagnetic sleeve disposed on photoreceptor surface, a rotatable magnet element having plural magnetic poles contained therein, a means for removing the magnetic toner attracted on the nonmagnetic sleeve surface and a toner recovery means. CONSTITUTION:The N pole of a magnet 47 is directed outward and its S pole is contacted with a yoke 46 comprising a ferromagnetic material. This causes the S pole to be produced at the tip of the fin 46a of the yoke, thereby forming the magnetic field between the same and the N pole of the magnet 47 adjacent thereto. A toner recovery case 45 has a nonmagnetic guide 45a conforming to the contour near the sleeve 42 and a nonmagnetic scraperplate 49 is fixed to the top end thereof. The free end of said plate abuts on the peripheral surface of the sleeve 42. When the transfer of visible images is finished and the photoreceptor 13 having left the developer on the surface turns and comes to the cleaning portion, it is attracted to the magnetic field on the magnet element 43 and is transferred from the surface of a belt 13 to the surface of the sleeve 42. The developer thus scraped from the sleeve 42 surface is successively fed into the deeper part of the recovery case 45 until the developer is filled up to the full capacity of the case.
