Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible feed controlling and detection of developer presence or not with a simple construction and single device by disposing a pair of magnetic field generating means with non-magnetic case side plates in-between. CONSTITUTION:A case 2 for the developer 1 composed of non-magnetic agents contained with the magnetic developer 1 is provided with a tubular channel 3 in the lower part and is disposed with permanent magnets 4, 5 as magnetic field generating parts opposing to each other with said channel 3 in-between, these magnets being so arranged that the mutually opposing sides of both magnets become of the same pole. The permanent magnet 4 is for controlling feed and its trailing end is always held slide contacted by the force of the spring of a cam 6 rotated by a driving source. On the other hand, the permanent magnet 5 is for detecting presence or not and is mounted in the supporting frame 8 in which the magnet 5 is slidable and which consists of the non-magnetic material existing in the position opposing to the magnet 4. A microswitch is disposed behind the supporting frame 8 so as to emit the detection signal. Such simple constitution enables the feed controlling and the detection of the presence or not of the developer to be readily accomplished.
