Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize not only power saving but suppression of lowering of the production yield which is caused by the threshold frequency, by obtaining a division output having nearly a double frequency to the normal division output without increasing the clock frequency. CONSTITUTION:The EX-OR gates 6, 8 and 10 have an input terminal each that is connected to the n-th bit (1<=n<M) output terminal and the (n+1)-th bit program terminal of a presetable counter 4 of the M stage. Such gates are prepared in (M-1) pieces, and the output terminals of these EX-OR gates are connected to the input terminal of an AND gate 14. At the same time, a double frequency pulse inserting means (NOR gate 13 and OR gate 15) are provided to insert the output signal of the gate 14 during a preset pulse section of the counter 4.
