Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately position a solid state image pickup element and a filter in a short time by forming positioning patterns on both the element and the filter. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric converter 2, an electrode leading pad 3 disposed at a distance from the converter and a positioning pattern 4 for a filter 5 are formed on a semiconductor substrate 1. The filter 5 is formed on a glass, and filter unit 6 in which three primary colors are formed in lattic or moire state and a positioning pattern 7 are formed. The substrate 1, the filter 5 and the converter 2, the filter unit 6 are completely positioned by matching the positioning patterns 4, 7 simply, and are supported fixedly by bonding the patterns 4, 7 with adhesive. Thus, the positioning patterns are formed at both sides, thereby improving the positioning accurac and improving the workability.
