Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic oxide material contg. ferric oxide, manganese oxide and zinc oxide as principal component and a specified amount of Bi2O3 and V2O5 as secondary components, having high initial permeability and a low coefft. of magnetic core loss, and suitable for use as a material for the magnetic core of a transducer for communications apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: To Mn-Zn ferrite contg. ferric oxide, manganese oxide and zinc oxide as principal components are added 0.01W0.05wt% bismuth oxide and 0.01W 0.1wt% vanadium oxide, and they are mixed, precalcined and calcined to obtain the desired magnetic oxide material. When bismuth oxide and vanadium oxide are added by >0.05wt% and >0.1wt%, respectively, a reduction in the permeability and a sudden increase in the coefft. of magnetic core loss and the coefft. of hysteresis loss are caused.
