Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an oxide magnetic material for a magnetic head with less noise by manufacturing an MnZn ferrite matrix contg. MnO, ZnO, Fe2O3 and NbO2 added in a specified molar ratio.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W5.0wt% NbO2 is added to 21W36mol% MnO, 13W25mol% ZnO and 50W56mol% Fe2O3 as the composition of an MnZn ferrite matrix. The resulting MnZn ferrite material considerably reduces the noise of a magnetic head. Nb2O3, nbO, Nb2O5 or the like may be added by 0.1W5wt% as NbO2 in place of NbO2 to produce the entirely same effect.
