Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title material superior in overall characteristics including saturated flux density, its temp. coefficient, magnetic loss, Curie temp. and dielectric loss by substituting a part of the composition of lithium ferrite with Zn and Mn of a specific value.
CONSTITUTION: The material is represented by the general formula: Li0.5-0.5x-0.5yFe2.5-0.5x-0.5yZnxMnyO4, wherein x and y are supposed to exist within the range 0.15≤x≤0.45, 0.02≤y≤0.18. For example, each raw material of LiCO3, Fe2O3, ZnO, MnCO3 are mixed with ethyl alcohol as dispersion catalyst so that the above mentioned composition is obtained, and prebaked at 800°C, and after being crushed, press-formed adding binder, baked at 1100W1150°C and the sintered body is obtained.
