Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the Q-value of a magnetic core over a wide frequency and amplitude range without decreasing the permeability of iron-short type NiZnCo ferrite of the same composition as that of usual material.
CONSTITUTION: Raw materials are mixed to fill a mole percentage of Fe2O3: 48W 49.5, NiO:15W45, ZnO:6W35, and CoO:0.2W2. In this case, use gaisite (Hydrated Iron Oxides) for the raw material of Fe2O3. After mixed, dry the mixture and bake it. Next, crush it, mix with binder material and form the mixture into moulds, sinter them in 1 atm. 0 at 1000W1400°C and control the average crystal grain size at 1W10μm. By so doing, sintered cores of the permeability of the same as or superior to that of usual oxide cores for high frequencies and large amplitudes and the Q-value of very good frequency characteristics and amplitude characteristics can be obtained. Here, Q shows the reciprocal of the loss factor of magnetism.
