Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a difference in opening time efficiently by coupling an AC power source electromagnetically with the closed circuit consisting of a main contactor, making resistor and auxiliary contactor. CONSTITUTION:With the series circuit of a resistor 2A and contactor 3A of the closed circuit 4A including a main contactor 1A, making resistor 2A and the auxiliary contactor 3A, two current transformers 11A and 12A are coupled electromagnetically. One transformer 11A has an AC power source 13A, and the other transformer 12A a current detector 15A. In breaking operation, the auxiliary contactor 3A opens first to cease the current of the detector 15A. Next, when the main contactor 1A opens, the current of the detector 7A disappears. An opening time difference is therefore measured by the difference in detection time between two detectors. Thus, the measurement is taken with the assembly completed, so that the measuring operation will be performed efficiently.
