Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the workability by varying the heater voltage in accordance with predetermined mode then increasing the heater voltage simultaneously with the generation of mode while measuring the existence of mode again. CONSTITUTION:When performing the inspection, an anode voltage measuring unit 2 is connected to an oscillation circuit 1 of a magnetron while a mode detector 3 is connected to the output side of said unit 2. When inspecting a magnetron, the heater voltage is decreased automatically from the rated voltage under normal oscillation to minimum rated voltage, and after passing predetermined time it is further dropped to minimum oscillation maintaining heater voltage. When a mode is produced in predetermined interval, the heater voltage is switched from decrease to increase simultaneously with the production of mode and after passing predetermined time the existence of mode is measured again and it is considered to be acceptable when the mode is stopped.
