Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the time needed to measure a fine current flowing through a resistance by forming a short circuit across the detection resistance until a programmable current power supply reaches a fixed voltage value, and then releasing it from the short circuit when it reaches the fixed value.
CONSTITUTION: When set-value input (a) applied to control part 1 varies, control 1 detects the variation value to close relay 3 correspondingly and then compares output value (b) with input (a) to send control output (c) to output generating part 2 in accordance with the comparison result, so that generating part 2 will generate its output equal to input (a). In this case, relay 3 is close and the value approximates to the set value in a short time without much influence of floating capacity based upon output value (b). With the set value equal to the output value, relay 3 opens and the output value is under a slight influence of a load, but returns to the set value in a short time, so that a difference in potential across resistance R will be measured by measurement part 4.
