Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent double measurement and measure a correct zero phase voltage by connecting a residual pointer reading maximum indicator to earth type potential transformers separately provided on a main track and a spare track wires via a contact actuated in response to a grounded overvoltage relay. CONSTITUTION:For example, when a communication breaker CB-T is closed with receiving power in a single circuit, an auxiliary contact DG-A1a1 of a grounding relay DG-A1 is closed afainst an earth accident which will occur at a point EAF. An auxiliary contact OVG-Aa1 of a ground-faut overvoltage relay OVG-A is also closed to excite an auxiliary relay OVG-AX1 and an auxiliary contact OVG-AX1a1 is closed to connect a residual pointer reading maximum indicator to the tertiary side 1A of an earth potential transformer GPT-A whereby a zero phase voltage is detected. On the other hand, an auxiliary ground OVG-Ba1 of a grounded overvoltage relay OVG is closed in an earth type potential transformer GPT-B while grounding relays DG-B... fail to operate. Thus, a residual pointer reading maximum indicator MVO-B will not work. This can prevent double measurement of the zero phase voltage.
