Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the titled plate with superior corrosion resitance, workability, spot weldability, chemical treatability, etc. by forming a zinc-contg, layer and a plated iron layer on the surface of a steel plate in order and carrying out heat treatment to allow the metallic elements to diffuse and penetrate.
CONSTITUTION: On a steel plate base 1, a layer 2 of zinc alone and a plated iron layer 3 are formed in order, and heat treatment is carried out to form a layer A by the diffusion penetration of zinc of the layer 2 into the base 1, a layer B by the diffusion penetration of iron into the layer 2 from the base 1 and the layer 3, and a layer C by the diffusion penetration of zinc of the layer 2 into the layer 3. As a result, the contact interface between the base 1 and the layer 2 and that between the layers 2, 3 disappear practically. In place of the layer 2 of zinc alone, a zinc-contg. layer may be used.
