Abstract
PURPOSE: To diffuse Fe, and Ni and Cu to each other and obtain high corrosion resistance by subjecting a steel plate which is carried out with Ni-Cu two layered plating of required thicknesses to a heat treatment at temps. below the m.p. of Ni in such a way that Ni is not diffused up to the surface layer part of the coating layer.
CONSTITUTION: An ordinary steel plate or stainless steel plate is carried out with Ni plating of 0.1W5μ thicknesses and is further carried out thereon with Cu plating of 0.5W20μ thicknesses. The steel plate carried out with the plating in two layers in this way is heat treated at the temps. below the m.p. of Ni under the conditions under which the Ni does not diffuse up to the Cu in the surface layer part. The plating coating layer of the steel plate obtained in this way is formed of the Fe-Ni-Cu alloy having rich Fe on the base metal side, the alloy consisting essentially of Fe-Ni-Cu at the intermediate and the alloy consisting of the Cu surface layer dispersed with neither Fe nor Ni in the surface layer part.
