Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the exfoliation of the plating film of a plated metallic material and to facilitate processing with high energy beams by heating the material to a temp. below the lower m.p. between the m.p. of the plating metal and that of the base metal to diffuse the metal having the lower m.p. in the other metal. CONSTITUTION:A metallic material having a formed plating film is heated to a temp. below the lower m.p. between the m.p. of the plating metal and that of the base metal to diffuse the metal having the lower m.p. in the other metal. The used plating metal has lower reflectance or heat conductivity than the base metal. After the diffusion treatment, processing with high energy beams is carried out. Thus, the exfoliation of the plating film can be prevented. By heat treatment in the processing, penetration depth is increased and the corrosion resistance is improved.
