Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit image pickup of the entire visual field without producing any dead angle by providing a time for imaging the mask of a uniform temp. distribution in the device by an auxiliary scanning mirror vibrating in a horizontal direction and performing DC reproduction during that time. CONSTITUTION:This consists of providing an auxiliary scanning mirror 3, and increasing the scanning speed thereof in a horizontal direction thereby performing DC reproduction within a margin time produced by this, wherein the incident infrared rays go through an inrared telescope 1, are reflected by the mirror 3 and are condensed onto a photodetector array 5. At this time, the respective photodetectors image pickup a uniform temp. mask 6 for a certain period by scanning of the mirror 3. The outputs of the respective photodetectors are DC-clamped and the DC components are reproduced by a DC reproducer 8 while the respective photodetectors are imaging the mask 6. The reproduced video signal is displayed as a heat image on a display device 10 by a signal processor 9. These time relations are controlled by a scanning controller 11, and the entire part of the device is rotated by a rotating driving device 12, whereby the scanning in the horizontal direction is accomplished.
