Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure an effective automatic adjustment for the video signal level by keeping constant the video level at the area where the monitor is required by means of the gate pulse generator circuit and the video signal gate circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The light sent from the subject forms an image at the pickup tube within TV camera 4 through electrically-driven lens 1, and thus the video signal is generated to be supplied to video signal gate circuit 6. Here, part of the video signal is drawn out only for the pulse period of the gate pulse, and the signal at part of the picture frame is supplied to servo amplifier 5 as the control signal. The peak value of the control signal is then detected and drawn out, and the video level at the area where the monitor is required can be kept constant by driving lens diaphragm 2 within lens 1. In this way, an automatic adjustment becomes possible effectively for the signal level.
