Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a picture featuring a high S/N ratio when the inside of the cavity in the organism or the machine device is picked up by the solid pickup element, by controlling the illumination beam according to the output level of the pickup element and at the same time giving the control to the charge storage period. CONSTITUTION:The driving pulse is sent to pickup element 2 within endoscope 1 from driving circuit 4 to start the charge storage. And at the same time, the output of photo detector 3 is integrated through integrating circuit 5. And when the output signal of the integration reaches reference level VR at the t1 time within the storage period and due to the overexposure, the illuniation of light source unit 7 is stopped by the signal from control circuit 6 to perform the transfer after the T1 time.
