Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a picture from flickers even if one picture is composed of two fields by actually exposing photoelectric conversion elements in the overlapped period of exposure of elements in odd and even rows by using shutter means. CONSTITUTION:In optical picture incident on a photoelectric conversion part 501 is converted into an electric signal, which is read out by a scanning circuit 502. The circuit 502 alternately selects and outputs odd and even rows of photoelectric conversion elements in the conversion part 501. A shutter member 505 to be rotated by a DC motor 506 is fitted on the front surface of the conversion part 501. A light emitting element 508 and a light receiving element 509 connected through the member 505, an amplifier 510, a phase comparator 511, a LPF 512, and an adder 513 constitute a motor driving control circuit to drive the motor synchronizingly with the scanning period of the circuit 502. Thus, the shutter operation is controlled so as to be completed in the overlapped period of the exposure of photoelectric conversion elements in odd and even rows of the conversion part 501.
