Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a flicker of video signal by detecting only a flocker component in a video signal and by applying the detected signal to an AGC circuit at its control terminal. CONSTITUTION:Output signal 1a of image pickup tube 1 is amplified 3 and video signal 2a is obtained through LPF4. Next, flicker signal 3a is obtained through BPF5. Comparing circuit 6 compares signal 3a with flicker signal 4a obtained from AGC circuit 8 via BPF9 and feedback circuit 10 to detect a flicker error. Output signal 5a of circuit 6 is converted by level setting circuit 7 into proper voltage 6a, which is applied to the gain control terminal of circuit 8 to form a single-round loop. Therefore, circuit 8 varies in gain so that a flicker of signal 2a will be reduced by output voltage 6a of circuit 7. Then, AGC signal 7a is processed by process encoder circuit 11 to obtain NTSC signal 8a.
