Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously extract a sludge of a high concentration under a stable condition, by controlling a discharge flow amount of a water separated from a floating sludge on the bases of a sludge flow amount and a sludge concentration, and concentrating the sludge in a pressurized floatation process.
CONSTITUTION: When a lower boundary gauge 7 detects the lower surface of a floating sludge zone 6, a controller 10 controls a flow amount control valve 9 so as to decrease the discharge amount of a separated water. When an upper boundary gauge 8 detects the lower surface of the floating sludge zone 6, the discharge amount of the separated water is increased in the same manner. That is, the lower surface of the floating sludge zone 6 is constantly controlled at a level between the lower boundary gauge 7 and the upper boundary gauge 8. Consequently, the lower surface of the floating sludge zone 6 is kept at a predetermined level in a floatation concentration tank 3, so that the sludge of a high concentration can be continuously extracted under a stable condition.
