Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve withstand voltage in a lap part by forming an oil gap in the lap part of a barrier provided at a part whereon DC voltage is impressed and by enlarging the oil gap at the end parts of the lap part, while lessening the same in the central part of the lap part. CONSTITUTION:The oil gap (g) is formed forcedly in the lap part 6a of the tubular barrier 6 formed of oil-impregnated paper and provided in a clearance between a low-voltage coil 3 and a high-voltage coil 4 which are opposed to each other in oil and the oil gap g1 in the central part of the lap part is made small, while the gap g2 at the ends of the lap part is made large. So as to ensure the maintenance of the oil gaps g1 and g2, it is desirable that spacers 7 formed of the oil-impregnated paper are inserted into and fixed at the appropriate places of the lap part 6a.
