Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic alloy having superior square loop hysteresis characteristics by adding a specified improving component of square ratio and an increasing component of coercive force or a reducing component of coercive force to silicon steel contg. 4W8% Si.
CONSTITUTION: This Fe alloy contains 4W8% Si and at least one kind of improving component of square ratio selected among ≤3% each of Mo, W, Y and Ni and ≤1% each of La, Ce, B and P. To the alloy may be added at least one kind of increasing component of coercive force selected among <1.0% C and <3.0% Cu or at least one kind of reducing component of coercive force selected among ≤3% each of Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Ta, Co and Al, or <1.0% Mn, ≤0.5% Ca and ≤0.5% Mg. This magnetic alloy has square loop hysteresis characteristics with ≥90% square ratio Br/B10 and is suitable for use as a material for an overcurrent detector, a magnetic amplifier, etc.
