Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the exciting characteristics of an iron core obtd. by winding a sheet of an amorphous Fe-Ni-Si-B alloy having a prescribed composition by annealing the core at a prescribed temp. in a prescribed magnetic field and cooling it.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet of an amorphous alloy represented by formula FedNieTfSigBh (where T is one or more among Be, Mg, Ca, Ba, Ti, etc., d+e+f+g+ h=100, 72≤d+e≤85, 0.05≤a/d+e≤0.40, 0≤f≤3, 7<g<16, 7<h<10, and 15≤ g+h≤25) is formed into a toroidal iron core, annealed at 250W400°C in a DC or AC magnetic field with ≥15 Oe, and cooled at≤300°C/hr cooling rate. The iron core thus obtd. has low coercive force, high magnetic flux density and high square ratio.
