Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform flaw detection by a plurality of beams through one time of scanning by an ultranosic probe comprising mounting plural pieces of ultrasonic vibrators. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 3 consists of ultrasonic vibrators 3a, 3b which are dividedly mounted to shoes 2a, 2b isolated by means of a sound insulating material 6. An ultrasonic beam 8 is transmitted from the vibrator 3a, is reflected by the defect 12 in the object 11 to be examined and is received in the vibrator 3b. On the other hand, ultrasonic vibrators 4, 5 for 45 deg.C and 60 deg. are mounted to the shoes 2a, 2b respectively and these vibrators 4, 5 of one probe perform the transmission and reception of ultrasonic beams 9, 10 respectively with one piece of the vibrator. Since positional offset values D from the center exist in the beams 9, 10, there is a need for correcting these offset values.
