Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent coagulation of a magnetic toner, by applying an alternating magnetic field to the area near the tip of a doctor blade to give a vibration to the magnetic toner around the alternating magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnet 8 applies an alternating magnetic field onto the circumference surface of the rubber layer 6 to give vibrations to the magnetic toner 4. As a result, the coagulated toner 4 is disperesed finely. At the same time, in case some foreign substance sitcks to the doctor blade 1, the toner 4 goes in round the foreign substance due to the vibration to cover the said substance. As a result, no part lacking the toner 4 is caused on the layer 6. In such way, generation of white streaks due to reduction of the picture concentration or an catching of foreign substances is avoided.
