Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good reversal images by making the bias potential of developing bias lower by >=200V than the nonimage part potential and using a dry type two component reversal developing material contg. carriers of 250-400mu in grain size. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 which rotates in an arrow direction and is formed with electrostatic latent images on its surface by charging and exposure means is provided as an apparatus. A magnetic brush developing device 2 is disposed in the lower left part of this photosensitive drum, and the apparatus is so constituted that the electrostatic latent images on the drum 1 are developed by the magnetic brush of said device. With such apparatus, the relations between the grain sizes of the carriers and the carrier adhesion etc. on copying paper were meausred with the bias potential of developing bias as a parameter, and the results thereof revealed that good images are obtainable by making the bias potential lower by >=200V than the nonimage part potential and keeping carrier grain sizes at 250- 400mu.
