Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish the satisfactory developing treatment with the use of a magnetic toner having a high resistance by preventing a photosensitive drum from contact with an accumulated toner during the formation of a magnetic brush with the use of a development regulating member.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic toner 3 having a high resistance, which is to generate a magnetic brush in the sleeve 1 of a magnet roll, establishs an accumulated toner 8. This accumulated toner 8 is prevented from contacting with the drum before the developing treatment by a development regulating member 7 which is interposed between the sleeve 1 and the drum 6. As a result, no developing irregularity in the edge form is established, and the latent image can be subjected to the satisfactory developing treatment with the use of the magnetic toner having the high resistance.
