Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the plate wear of an image formation body made of a material containing a photoconductor layer by performing image exposure while or right after an electric field is applied onto the image formation body, vibrating toner particles with an ultrasonic wave and sticking them on the image formation body selectively, and thus forming an image. CONSTITUTION:The image formation part which has a photosensitive body 2 on a conductive supporting body 1 is exposed to an image. Toner 3 is sent to the part where it comes into surface contact with the photosensitive body above it by conveyance by the ultrasonic vibration in an ultrasonic wave feeder 4, and scattered to the photosensitive body by the ultrasonic vibration. Then the toner is charged electrostatically during the conveyance and sticks selectively only where the image exposure is performed to perform the development. Thus, only the toner is brought into contact with the image formation part by the ultrasonic vibration at the time of the development to improve the plate wear of the image formation part and the quantitative conveyance of the toner utilizing the ultrasonic vibration is performed, so the structure of the toner is simplified.
