Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain supeior formability and strength by cooling steel products contg. a specified amount of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Nb, Ti and V from hot rolling to coiling at a specified cooling rate and setting the coiling temp. to a specified temp. range. CONSTITUTION:One or more among 0.01-0.1wt% Nb, 0.02-0.15wt% Ti and 0.02-0.15wt% V are added to a steel contg., by wt., 0.03-0.1% C, 0.5-2% Si, 0.5-2% Mn and 0.5-2.5% Cr while satisfying equation 8<=(Si+Mn+Cr)<=4.5. This steel is hot rolled and cooled. The cooling rate from the end of the finish rolling to coiling is adjusted to 4-50 deg.C/sec, and the coiling temp. is set to 400-650 deg.C. Thus, a composite structure consisting of ferrite and a low temp. deformation product is formed after the hot rolling.
