Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the hot rolled composite structure steel sheet having superior tensile strength and workability, by controlling rolling temperature by a specified condition and continuing cooling pattern, at the time of manufacturing the steel sheet carrying out hot rolling of killed steel.
CONSTITUTION: Steel sheet is manufactured by carrying out hot rolling of killed steel containing C; 0.02W0.15%. Mn; 1W2%. On this occasion, finish rolling is finished at a temperature within the limits of 50°C more or less than Ar3 transformation point of steel material and is coiled at <250°C. Cooling from the above finish rolling ended time to coiling, is divided in the foregoing-stage part from finish rolling end to 650°C and latter stage part from 650°C to coiling. Mean cooling speed of the foregoing stage is made lower than that of the latter stage within a range between tthe cooling speed of the foregoing stage from 1 to 50°C/sec and that of the latter stage from 10 to 100°C/sec. The steel sheet composed of composite structure of ferrite, martensite and remaining austenite, having tensile strength of 50kg/mm2 or more and superior workability, is able to manufacture by hot rolling only.
