Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily prevent the occurrence of intergranular corrosion in an inconel material welded joint by TIG-welding said welded joint without using any filler metal to the heat affected zone thereof.
CONSTITUTION: After inconel build-up weld 1 is formed on a base metal 2 by an ordinary welding method, the surface of build-up metal 1 is machined to a smooth surface. Thence, this finished surface is subjected to welding by an automatic TIG welding method without using any filler metal. The above surely prevent the degradation in the intergranular corrosion resistance of the deposited metal part even after the long-time heat treatment through the simple treatment of executing the TIG welding alone, and provide the excellent joint as compared to the case of the ordinary arc welding method with covered electrode only.
