Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to weld easily a metal material which was hardly welded, by preventing an electrode from wearing by arc-welding a steel plate, etc., plated with zinc alloy or applied with zinc-based paint, by using copper alloy as a filler wire. CONSTITUTION:When welded material 5 with zinc plating layer 19 is welded by electrode 11 of a TIG semiautomatic welder, copper alloy of 0.8-1.6mm is used as fillter wire 12. As a result, copper alloy low in fusion point is easily alloyed with zinc over a wide area before zinc vapor sticks to electrode 11, so that the wearing of electrode 11 due to the sticking zinc vapor can be prevented. Consequently, a zinc-plating steel plate, etc., can easily be welded which was hardly done in the past.
